The truth is, when we knock ourselves down with negative thoughts we actually steal pleasure from our lives, pleasure that can happen in any moment, even the most intimate ones. Wandering Minds, a video passed onto us from Uprise Production in Los Angeles, shares a humorous look at how we can ruin certain intimate moments, (from making out to having sex,) because we are so fixated on how we look.
Unfortunately, I can relate to this video. Sometimes, I get so consumed with my appearance and worry if my thighs look big, or how the frozen yogurt I had before bed was the worst mistake of my life, that I lose focus on what is actually transpiring in that intimate moment with my husband. After watching the video, I realize I need to work harder to stop obsessing over my appearance and start enjoying the finer moments in life.
